Ok, I’m not sure if you’ve actual been in a line since they reopened, but you definitely do not continue moving without stopping for short- or long- periods of time.
    Not for any ride.
Disney might say that’s the reasoning behind the halting of fastpass usage, but I will continue to maintain the strong belief that fastpasses would most definitely move people through the lines much more quickly than without.
Disney could do away almost entirely with the stand by queues if they would implement a digital scan fast pass kiosk (similar to what they used to have) as well as continuing the current online fast pass platform. This way, if the line was longer than say, 10 minutes, the guests arriving would scan their band or ticket and reserve a time for them to return which would make for a queueless experience.
I mean, why spend 45 minutes physically standing in line, when you could do it virtually?
With all the technology we have today, and Disney’s history of always being on the cutting edge of new technology, I think they can figure out something.
Maybe if they would put a little more emphasis on pioneering the future instead of commercializing everything to death, they wold figure it out.
Regardless of what they do, WE NEED FASTPASSES BACK!

It’s awful. As APs we go often and at first it was great. Two months later it’s not worth going unless you enjoy just walking and people watching, which is what we HAD to do the last time. 30 min to over an hour wait on EVERTHING including shopping! We ate from kiosks to avoid the crowded restaurants. It says 25% capacity, I don’t believe it. It’s more like 75%!They need to bring fast pass back, I don’t understand why they havent!

Went to WDW last weekend! At MK and HS the back perimeter was crowded. Waltzed on the Magic Carpet Ride, Country Bears and the Tiki Birds. Went back on Main Street to exit the park and it was deserted. HS let people in at 9am, waited in line for Mickey’s Runaway Railroad for about 20 minutes constantly moving. Could not get into the virtual queue for ROR whatsoever. EPCOT on the 3rd day entering thru the Intl Gateway. Everyone was heading for Frozen or Soarin, etc. We went to France, 24 in the singalong. American Adventure, a dozen in the audience. With MK and HS eating establishments being crowded we opted for the resorts, Contemporary and Riviera. They were quiet and relaxing.
