He’s killing this state and playing with people’s livelihoods. The ever-moving goal posts and changing metrics. We will never know when we’re “go to go” for anything! It’s not just theme parks… it’s restaurants and other businesses he’s also destroying. WHO says lock downs are a bad idea and what does HE do? Double down and lock down tighter. Stop this insanity! It’s not about health, safety or science.. it’s ALL POLITICAL!

Absolutely unbelievable! He’s killing the state deliberately! This isn’t about science, Health, or safety! It’s all political! Every bit of it! The ever-changing metrics, always moving the goalposts so that we never know how much further we have to go to get out of this! He’s playing with people’s livelihoods. It’s not just about Disneyland and theme parks, its the restaurants, hotels, small businesses that are being destroyed at will him. This insanity has got to stop!

Cute you posted twice with different name.

Also – you should actually read what WHO said – as there is more detail and nuance to that than lockdowns are bad. Maybe read up on why quarantine exists and how it worked during several other outbreaks…

Why is he banning visitors from other States? Other States have less cases. And people from other States can be safe. I was when I went to California. In fact I was safer, other people in O/C weren’t wearing masks & they weren’t social distancing. They also had sports, playgrounds & drinking fountains open when L.A didn’t. In fact there wasn’t a mask order in O/C. It was rescinded. I was there July 2020. Plus ticket holders were meant to have acess to the reservation system first – like WDW. Oh! Well! We’ve been waiting to use our tickets since last Spring. I guess we can wait until next Spring. Half a year goes by fast. Lol! ?

I dont understand why people are putting the full blame on Gov Newsom. If the OC was in the Yellow tier, Disneyland could start proceeding with reopening. Sure its easy to blame politicians, but I live in OC, and see tons of people not taking the mask wearing seriously or the social distancing seriously. Its going to take people working together to start to open more things back up…

People are putting the full blame on Newsom because Disney has proven that the precautions they have taken WORK. The other parks have been open for months and not a single outbreak has been tied to them (or indeed to any of the 20 largest US amusement parks in the US). When you ignore the incontrovertible evidence of science, you have to be doing it for political reasons only. THAT is why people are putting the blame on him. It is a shame that all the people who rely on the industry for jobs are being sacrificed to further whatever twisted agenda he has.

Orange County is in the substantial category, and is surrounded by counties either in widespread or substantial condition. It absolutely makes no sense for theme parks in these areas to open. The employees and most of the guests are going to be local. If Disneyland wants to be allowed to open then maybe instead of criticizing the state they should be actively encouraging locals to do a better job at masking up, distancing, avoiding gatherings, and washing hands. Then, like every other location that does this well, the numbers will decrease and then Disneyland can reopen.

For Disneyland to open you have to have less than, I’m not making this up…. less than 1 person per 100,000 so call it .9. Let’s do the math…. that equals 360 people a day. Yesterday we had 3,843 cases in California. This metric is not possible even with a vaccine and Newsom knows it. Furthermore, 1 person, yep 1 person died of COVID 19 in all of LA county yesterday. Where is the perspective here….and for Newsom’s unchecked power we can thank Judge Roberts and the multiple 5-4 decisions that have empowered these bureaucrats.

LOL, if its not possible, then how did San Francisco get into the Yellow Tier… oh ya, following health guidelines. So it sounds like your impossible theory doesnt check out.
