Today marks the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort! Haven’t heard of this resort? That’s okay, we will give you all the details of this stunning Disney Resort.
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is part of the Disney Vacation Club, but you can stay here without being a member of the timeshare. Here is how Disney describes the resort on their website,
Relax on warm sand and play in the sparkling blue waters of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Just 2 hours southeast of Walt Disney World Resort, this elegant old-fashioned hideaway is located on Florida’s scenic Atlantic Treasure Coast near the charming community of Vero Beach. Get away from it all in spacious lodgings that provide the comforts of home with an idyllic beach practically at your doorstep.
We think this idyllic Florida resort is one of Disney’s best-kept secrets, it is peaceful and relaxing with the perfect Disney touch. The best part of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, if you time your stay right, is the sea turtle nests! You can actually watch the Loggerhead Sea Turtles hatch, and learn more about them during your stay from the resorts knowledgeable staff.
Here is what Disney’s Vero Beach says about how the resort was planned to have minimal impact on these precious creatures:
Our resort shares space with the nesting grounds of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. The Florida coast is their primary nesting area in the northern hemisphere. In keeping with founder Walt Disney’s conservation legacy, the beachfront resort was specifically designed to create minimal impact on the turtles’ nesting patterns. Each year, moonlight acts as a beacon to guide the hatchlings safely to the ocean, so the resort’s east-facing windows are tinted to diminish the impact of interior lighting, and no exterior lights face the ocean.
We love this relaxing Florida resort, and look forward to many years of memories still to come!
