Talk about confuse everyone bc you were only taking fl residents then aps now ????? I guess thats better then call a # get some sp ticket daily etc. At least theres hope… i do not give alot of credit to universal esp now bc i think opening is nuts but to know its only to aps and they are limiting opening gate time thats better than heres a capacity! Disney is waiting for 75% so lets take everything w grains also this said this is from the blog i am on that daily its not! I also wouldnt trust the blog they are run by the same nuts whom run the malfunctioning app and website!
Stop being so scare bro!!! The parks should open. We will be fine if we follow the protocols! Except masks. Try wearing one 10 hours a day in 90 degree heat at your job. Or just try it yourself and youll know why
From the beginning uneducated individuals have tried to conceal the High transmission rates of the virus. The mask protects othes because it holds the droplets. Not a fan of wearing it, but I understand its importance.
Truth unfortunately i past out the other day and i have to agree heat and masks do not mix! I pray that disney gets resolve or get the lawyers ready bc they could put a clause out about if you get sick do not blame us… how about hosp visit due to heat exhaustion that i seen naturally at parks let alone w mask on!
Yes so true rob i past out twice when i worked at wdw just bc my rotation never came! You can be stuck in the heat as much as guest could and this was before masks! I am all for safety but is it worth chancing passing out?? But you can wear a simple face covering too and i have dr notes for my kid jic he can not wear his for long as he has breathing issues… but we will do our best as we got too!
When you think about it, Disney is really in trouble here. They’ve oversold everything and I mean everything. It’s hard to know how to handle this situation because what they’re experiencing has never happened before. A few years ago I felt that Disney was allowing the overcrowding of their parks, resorts, etc. due to greed. I felt it while I was there, while I tried to book a room, while I got in the parks and it being shoulder to shoulder so much so that you couldn’t even move. I love Disney, don’t get me wrong but I saw this coming. What a mess for those that spend thousands to fly in and be turned away at the parks because entrance isn’t guaranteed. They need to figure this out or they’ll do serious harm to the company. I think this pandemic is what Disney needed to recheck itself. They couldn’t keep going on like they were. My future is uncertain with Disney. I hold two timeshare contracts that I am seriously considering selling. I’ll give it into 2021 to see what happens but if they don’t realign themselves and get it together, I’ll just have the memories and I’m ok with that.
Resevations were cancelled because the parks arent open! You and noone else knows how its gona work yet. Reduced capacity for the beginning but theyll be back to normal in a few months as long as the numbers dont spike from covid. They will let people know ahed of time just as they have to tell them theyve been cancelled due to reduced capacity. Theyre not gona take reservations and turn people away each day
We are local , within 5 min, Platinum Plus and I pay those prices for 6 people so we can go whenever we want. We are there somewhere on property pretty much every day. We moved here to live in the Disney bubble. We are the ones there when hurricanes come thru and tourists are stuck at home . We eat there for dinner several times a week, not quick service. We go all year and major holidays ; we go to the Halloween party and Christmas party several times each during the season, we buy the after park special event tickets ,so yes if we can’t get in for some time in the foreseeable future than our passes better be extended for a while.
Vincent, there is nothing wrong with them saying they expect fair compensation for what they paid for. They paid for X months and if they aren’t getting the experience that they paid for then they need a refund or extended months on their passes. Seems reasonable. They never said anything about masks or hygiene or social distancing. Annual Pass holders are what gives Disney World ita baseline revenue.
Everyone has something in life that they enjoy. Please don’t be unkind to Disney lovers. There are many many many industries that people spend a lot of money on. It’s a valid viewpoint.
T They need to _Temporarily _go to a reservation system even if you have a pass or an old ticket just to cap availability I used to have a DLR premium pass so I understand the problems. Yes they’ll have to update the contract terms for the past as a given.
I believe that if someone has a reservation inside one of the Disney parks, whether it be Land or World, they should have access to the park. I’m ok with the dated tickets or having reservations for pass holders. That makes it a reasonable accommodations if you are going to restrict capacity inside the parks.
I know it’s common occurrence to stop admission to the parks when they reach capacity. But this restriction on maximum capacity is not common and uncommon practices should prevail. The new limit on admission is not going to make many people happy. Why not save some more unwanted disappointment by letting people know ahead of time that they are or are not going to get in. If you have more dated tickets or pass holders reservations available for same day entry let more people in. I believe this would keep more people happy. Some people travel from far away, spending lots of money on accommodations and other things in the process of making their Disney trip happen. And not allowing them entry does not a happy camper make.
I know I would be furious if I paid for hotel, paid gas to drive or paid for a flight and not be able to get inside the parks. You can’t always just turn around and go home. Let alone all the money you just wasted.
I bought 2 $199.00, 3 day tickets at the store before it closed back in February. I called Disneyland twice and emailed them once. They told me that they would extend the expiration date of those tickets, I asked them if I could get a refund, basically they told me they would extend the tickets 160 days after expiration date. My question what will happen after the 160 days? Will the park stilI be closed? Would much rather have a refund.
If they have a flat out capacity problem they may have to go with a reservation system and you have to get a date approved and applied to your passes or tickets to get in. Welcome to “interesting times”hang tight we’ll get through this. We we survived opening of Star wars land I didn’t get a chance to get by before the craziness hit I’ve been locked out of knotts.
I have also been upgraded a few times to more upscale hotels. I’ve been given free dinner reservations as well as free character breakfasts. ALWAYS a WDW fan!
I am coming down in july and staying at pop century and I hope they will leave us in my son have autism and we been trying fo come in march so am hoping we can get in
I, for one, am growing weary of the drip, drip, drip of “information”. We had a very expensive week planned in March. Canceled, rescheduled. Canceled. Develop a re-opening plan and stick to it! Life is risky. Take some personal responsibility, people. If you’re sick or vulnerable, stay home. If you’re healthy, go to WDW and enjoy yourselves! Open the WDW Gates and let’s all get back to the business of life! But, please, stop hinting at re-opening and issuing statements that don’t really tell us anything.
None of which is real i been ride out this whole time! I been told august! I walked through queues and can tell you whats opening and not but this site does not care to keep my posts up for anyone!
I agree, there is nothing that can be done to ensure no one gets the virus. Healthy purple that get it have a 99.8% chance of recovery. Open the gates, and those who want to take the risk will go, others stay home. Extra cleaning and hand sanitizer, no mask it will be impossible to breathe.
Yes i agree!!!!! I wear one 10 hours a day at work in 90 degree heat and weve had a few passout, heat exhaustion, headaches and sore throats. People who have worked there and never had an issue with the heat and they all have said its because of the masks. Dont mandate them, make them optional. See how many say theyll wear them to act like theyre serious about it and change their tune when they have to wear them 10 hours in the heat at the parks. Only more issues will arise. Optional masks please
Passholders arent getting reservations or restricted they are talking blockout passes bc its such a thing they will still be blocked out and people whom think they are coming in off the street and buying tickets will be out of luck! As well as if your not local its only resident aps only at first! Its going to keep capacity down! Or at least what we are hearing here in DL but then again the parks arent opening till august and everything could change by then!
Would like to know about the AP pass holders who can come any day and have parking also . How is this going to work for us.? It is not cheap pass and if can’t go like I want and parking then this is not fair. Need to hear more about how this works and what is going to be done.
Have a Signature pass and have had for awhile. Like to know how this is going to work when the parks open? It is not a cheap pass and reason we have is because we like to do and have dinner or lunch and shop besides the rides. SO waiting to hear about this and not sure what to think anymore on what I am hearing .Please let us know.
From what I’ve been reading and observing, WDW is seeing this for the first time also. I was there when the fires were so bad, you could barely see through the smoke. We were treated to 3 beautiful dinners at their expense. Plus, we were given so much free souvenirs! I thought WDW handled that beautifully! Unfortunately, right now is hard on everyone. I will always take my 2 weeks vacation at WDW ?
We were going to go in November but planned on staying off site. But I had a feeling that there was going to be a mess about if and when we could go. So we decided for 1/2 the money we could stay on site at Universal.
Exactly!! Anybody that can go to Disney that much and spend that much money every single year on Disney world and dinners out can afford to go a couple months having to cook their own damn food!! Why don’t we think about the people like me who saved for years to be able to take my granddaughter to Disney and now we can’t go!!! Some people are so damn selfish ?
Are those of us who have had hotel reservations for a year going to be guaranteed admission to the parks. That is, of course, that DW is open by the time our reservations come around.
Disney never said any of this! Itm i question where you get your info!!! The last i heard was only aps bc that would limit capacity no one like i from out of state will be willing to come to a half half disney anyways! Where as plenty of residents i know would bc they do not care or will wait like the rest of us bc its the summer and who goes in 115 in shade anyways crazy tourist! The other thing disney wants is to figure out the mask issue which i bet is bc lawyers or osha got on them! Lets just have patience!
I’m a Florida resident and have tickets that day expire 7/31. 3 day pass. Anyone know the update if they’ll extend it for fl residents ? I hope they do cause it’s uncertain when I’ll go back

I’m glad we canceled our reservations with DW. It would be a major hassle to go now. In addition people from Louisiana are still unwelcome.

Keep it all closed until it is totally safe.
Why take the chance?
There’s more to life.
Maybe next year.

Think.

I think they should have certain days dedicated to passholders. If they do something like this.
