I know this all too well unfortunately. I used to be able to ride so much more at Disney World until I was diagnosed with vertigo and severe motion sickness. Honestly the best thing for someone prone to getting dizzy or fainting is sadly not ride things like space Mountain It’s disappointing but not worth the aftermath. Stick to small world and tamer rides . There is so much to do at Disney World you will barely miss out. My days of riding star tours is unfortunately over but I still have a magical vacation every time I go.
I still do okay on all Disney attractions (even the “extreme” version of Mission Space), but…I’ve found that there are Six Flags roller coasters that I cannot ride any more due to having blacked out on them before. I’m going to miss those (even though I rarely go to Six Flags, but I love those roller coasters and will miss them on future visits), but…health HAS to come first.
The thrill of a roller coaster is the ILLUSION of danger. But at some point, despite how much it irks me, I have to bow out due to the REAL danger to myself.
How to avoid dizzy spells either do not go on said ride or bc i know it all too well as single parent it might be just you and your kid no option or even childless adult whom loves said ride…. i close my eyes alot if i feel uneasy and just feel much better bc i can flow w the ride…. its like tower hate ride but will go on it but i pick my feet up to go w the flow of drop instead of nerves and bracing which make me worse! Space mountain though is a hard one as it just makes every other person sick bc of the jerking of the ride at least now you can walk out and take your time vs keeping up w the ramp…. i get it bad esp on simulators w glasses i wear glasses so i cant wear the 3d ones as it doubles my vision so i usually either ride it wo and close my eyes and rest or i will watch it wo the hd quality on alot actually is quite clear its not a bother to not wear the glasses like back in the day! My favorite is fop to do it on its such a calming ride when i am not worried about feeling sick and anxious!

My own motion sickness on airplanes, ships, etc., is gone for the day when I take Meclizine.
