I am a brand new, first time Platinum AP holder, so I don’t know if I will be chosen. But I will definitely shoot down there from South Carolina by myself, even on short notice, if I am!!
The issue is half of us do not receive emails from ap (as evident via the blog that has hundreds going they do not get emails) will there be a sign up via the blog or a link somewhere? Thanks
I’ve been a Passholder for about 15-17 years. Haven’t had an invitation to any opening. Ever. WDW said it was because I opted out on receiving offers from them, but I didn’t. And I have got offers for everything that costs money. Emailed them several times, called the Passholder number and still no help. With the $225 @ year Passholder increase it might be time to wave goodbye if I don’t receive a invitation this time!
At least at cost though you get info i get squat and so does many others… my info about ap stuff i find out from either here or the blog and by that time too late to sign up no offense to itm! Btw why have our info as passholders etc and send newletter junk mailings in mail or have different pgs for us on my disney experience if its not going to be used for stuff like this? Is an even better ?
A cm told me today cms found out that soft previews and ap are coinciding with each other so i guess thats why they do not care we have no info or get emails bc if you come you might get in anyways surprise and enjoy galaxy edge
Would love to go. As mentioned, have not received any emails from Disney yet, so hope we are in the running for consideration! Doing several visits this year.
Just to let everyone know…they did the same pre registration for AP holders a month or so before the opening of Fantasyland. I was able to sign up my family and pick the day / time from the drop down invitation. We flew from SC to Orlando, had special VIP bands on, and were greeted at the Fantasyland entrance by cast members and a velvet rope. That was pretty awesome! I was anticipating them doing that again for Galaxy’s Edge, and my hunch was right. Now we’re waiting on that email 🙂
Aw that’s so great! So you were able to get your whole family in and not just “a” guest? We did the same thing for the AP preview of Pandora but I just remember it being for myself and one guest. My husband and I would LOVE to do this, and also take our son who is also a Platinum AP, but not a huge star wars fan… but the wording for the allowance of “a guest” is making me nervous that someone will have to miss out. If we’re even lucky enough to get the email and go, that is lol.
I feel like they’re catering to the local Passholders by waiting so close to the opening week… everyone out of state has to plan a whole trip in such a short timeframe! I know you guys mentioned how we can get help with that company, but it’s just the idea that we have to scramble last minute with work and any other personal plans we would have to make.
If they were catering to us locals we would get emails and go! No offense! Like i said above i get ap info from here more than wdw directly! As us fans seem to have the knowledge even as a cm i was in dark most of the time and the cm at dhs still are as they are seeing reg capacity for opening day in the projections still!
it kind of sucks that the pass holders friend must also me a PH. it should not matter as long as at least 1 person is a qualified pass holder . i have been waiting for the invite , but my friend that would go with me is not. Disney always doing something to limit pass holders.
What are the dates for passholders. Today is July 20th there are 6 of us with passholders and are connected together. Have not heard a word. Time is running out to book a DVC or hotel.
I got word that capacity is still projected as normal for opening. They have extra cms in place just for crowd control and they are ahead of sch that cms have been told now all hands on deck starting aug 1st not just aug 28 onward so beyond cm preview thats a sign cms are taking as soft previews! Which makes me wonder if thats why ap previews is so disjointed? But thats still not an excuse to never tell us anything!
