Have you ever caught “Must Do Disney” while watching TV in your Disney Resort Hotel room? My daughters anxiously await the segment on the park we plan to visit the following day. As the Disney planner of the family, I think of the must-do things I need to consider when planning the trip that may help make every day as magical as possible. These Must-Do Disney planning tips can help you not only relax and enjoy your vacation, but also soak up as many pixie-dusted moments as possible.
Disney Resort Hotel Stay = FastPass+ Magic
There are so many reasons to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, but early FastPass+ access is top in my mind. Guests who stay at a Disney Resort Hotel can begin making their FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance. That can be huge when thinking of must-do Disney attractions, like Avatar Flight of Passage and Slinky Dog Dash. I work that 60-day access to my advantage and plan to visit those parks further along in our vacation for better selection.
Take a Vacation From Your Vacation
Years ago, I would come home so exhausted from our action-packed, thoroughly pixie-dusted vacations. We now plan a day or two away from the theme parks to enjoy the provided amenities at our Disney Resort Hotel. Each resort offers daily activities, listed in your Resort Experience Guide, to give families a chance to relax and enjoy time with each other. Some activities may be held poolside or in the lobby, such as yoga or artistic painting classes. Ending the night with a Movies Under the Stars is a longtime family tradition of ours.
Have a Splashtastic Day
Visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the summer? Take that last tip I shared and make it a splashtastic day at your Disney Resort Hotel or the Disney Water Parks. There are incredible pools found across Walt Disney World Resort, but if you want to up the cool factor, add the Park Hopper Plus option to your Disney Theme Park Tickets. You can visit Disney’s Water Parks anytime you want to have fun on attractions but prefer to stay cool while doing so.
Add Optional Pixie Dust to your Disney Theme Park Ticket
Speaking of that Park Hopper Plus Ticket, it is an excellent option for seasoned Disney travelers who have not yet branched out to other activities outside the theme parks. It includes admissions to all of Disney’s Water Parks and Miniature Golf Courses, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, and ESPN Wide World of Sports. My family prefers the Park Hopper option, especially when we stay at one of the Epcot area resorts. After a fun day in the theme parks, we hop over to Epcot to enjoy dinner around the World Showcase. This gives us a chance to talk about our day and see what each person’s favorite magical moment was.
