Epcot International Festival of the Arts is where guests to Walt Disney World can experience the ultimate celebration of art, entertainment, and my personal favorite–food!
Epcot’s seasonal festivals bring some of Walt Disney World’s most delicious cuisine from around the world for guests to experience right in World Showcase. And for this year’s festival, Epcot does not disappoint. Epcot International Festival of the Arts offers a wide variety of food offerings, from savory and rich to sweet and delicate. Here is a look at a few that stood out to us!
The Artist’s Table
Starting with savory, from the Artist’s Table, we have the Beef Wellington. The dish is prepared with savory beef tenderloins, Mushroom Bordelaise, Fennel Cream, and Roasted Baby Vegetables.
The dish is perfect for anyone looking for a hearty offering, and it features extremely tender beef that cuts like butter!
Another offering from the Artist’s Table includes the Pan-Seared Scallop, which features Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, and a Parmesan Crisp. Fitting in the theme of the arts, the look of the dish is inspired by the famous portrait “Woman with a Hat.”
If you’re looking for something fishy, this is a nice offering. The Scallop is seared to perfection and the addition of the Chorizo and Roasted Red Pepper Coulis really add a nice kick of flavor to the dish.
Pop Eats
Another offering from under-the-sea is the Shrimp Ceviche. Served in a glass, it features mango, jalapeño pepper, and red pepper, and is marinated in a lime sauce and finished with a Lime Mint Foam.
The dish is full of flavor from its different garnishes and it’s refreshing, as it is served cold. It is also great for on-the-go eating as it is easily contained in its serving glass.
The Painter’s Palate
One of the festival’s more refined items is the Smoked Salmon and Cream Gâteau with Egg. The dish is the reimagining of a dessert into a savory offering with smoked salmon, cream cheese and crepes, finished with an egg yolk crema, caviar, and micro-vegetables.
Full of some of the world’s finest delicacies, this menu item is worthy of any foodie’s sampling! The dish is so packed with flavor, you might want to order it multiple times, just to take in all of its different tastes.
Another offering from The Painter’s Palate, which offers a few different selections, is Gallery Bites: A Trio of Hors d’Oeuvres. The dish’s three offerings include Chilled Shrimp with Cucumber Cream Cheese on a Crostino, Traditional Deviled Egg with Candied Bacon and Crispy Truffled Risotto Ball with Truffle Aïoli.
What better way to sample different delicacies than to sample a few, all on one dish! Each bite-sized offering is a nice contrast from the other as each sampling is quite different from the next, making it hard to get bored with this plate.
The Masterpiece Kitchen
One of the festival’s few vegetarian offerings, the Wild Mushroom Risotto features roasted mushrooms, Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings and a Zinfandel Reduction.
This is one of the festival’s few returning offerings, and note that it’s back for a reason as it’s a nice and cheesy dish that will have you returning for more.
A sweeter offering from this kitchen is the Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta. The dessert features pistachio cake, raspberry jam and pistachio crumbles on the outside.
This dish gives pistachios a whole new form and taste, which is simply delicious.
Decadent Delights
A dessert that will have you salivating for more is the Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Pretzel Crunch. Featuring a more modern look, the sweet includes a layer of chocolate and raspberry chiffon cake and chocolate mousse.
Never has a pretzel been sweeter, or looked so good.
Another decadent offering is the Lemon and Blood Orange Tart, which features a tart shell flavored with lemon, a layer of blood orange jam, lemon curd, and a collection of colorful chocolates and fruits to top it off.
For those who enjoy fruit with their desserts, this may be the ultimate offering as every part of this dish is full of fruity goodness.
