Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure is the greatest collection of holiday food offered at Disneyland Resort this season. This year, the festival hosts 12 holiday kiosks serving a wide variety of holiday dishes inspired by the flavors and ingredients of cultures around the world. We recently had a chance to experience Festival of Holidays, and we’re sharing the top seven food items to try at this year’s event. Read on to learn more about our top picks for the best bites at this year’s Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure.

1. Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Macaron

Macarons are becoming available all over Disneyland Resort, and for good reason. These delectable desserts are must-eat items no matter the flavor, and this Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Macaron is just as delicious as it looks. It tastes like the holiday s’more you wish you could eat all year long. The dusting of peppermint will make every guest the merriest when they take a bite of this treat. Find it at the Merry Mashups kiosk.

2. Reuben Potato Tots

I absolutely LOVED the Reuben Potato Tots in DCA at the Favorite Things booth during the Festival of Holidays. It has crunchy tater tots, covered with Russian dressing that adds a little sweetness, pieces of salty delicious pastrami, sauerkraut to add another layer of sour flavor, chives, and bits of rye toast. I thought the flavor combo and the various textures were great. I will for sure get this again! Disney California Adventure has more than a few of our favorite things at Festival of Holidays this year, and these Reuben Potato Tots are one of them. These are crispy tater tots doused with a coating of Russian dressing, countless pieces of pastrami, a layer of sauerkraut and chives, and served with rye toast. If you love Reuben sandwiches, you’ll love this dish. If you love tater tots, you’ll definitely be wanting more. No matter what you fancy, we suggest stopping by the Favorite Things kiosk for some of this deliciousness this season.

3. Chorizo Queso Fundido

Chorizo queso fundido served with tortilla chips is held up in front of the vibrant purple Viva Navidad event sign at Disney California Adventure, ready to be enjoyed by festival-goers.

Cheese and chorizo? Yes, please! We can never say no to a dish like the Chorizo Queso Fundido. This cheesy dip is layered with spicy and tangy flavors and topped with a generous helping of chorizo. The house-made tortilla chips are crispy and delicious, and we can’t imagine eating this any other way. This dish is perfect for the cheese connoisseur or the guest who loves a hot and savory snack. Pick this one up a Brews & Bites.

4. Braised Pork Belly Adobo

Braised pork belly adobo with rice served on a tray, showcased in front of the festive red “Celebrating Christmas” sign at Disney California Adventure’s Festival of Holidays.
If it involves pork belly, we’re all about it, so we couldn’t wait to get our hands on this Braised Pork Belly Adobo. Served with garlic fried rice and topped with crispy chicharrones, this dish is packed full of flavor. We love the sweet and salty pork belly and the crunchy toppings, and we suggest you run (don’t walk!) to get this snack. Find it at Blissfully Braised.

6. Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp and grits with andouille sausage is served at Disney California Adventure’s Festival of Holidays, shown here held up in front of the festive red sign highlighting this popular holiday menu item.

We love Shrimp and Grits, so we had to try the Festival of Holidays version the first chance we could. This dish is inspired by flavors of Kwanzaa celebrations with peppered shrimp, andouille sausage, chives, and a spicy gravy with a kick that won’t quit. If you love twists on favorite dishes, you’ve got to try this. We can’t wait to order it again. Pick up the Shrimp and Grits from Holiday Duets.

7. Milk Chocolate Candy Cane Pot de Crème

If you ask us, peppermint and chocolate are the most Christmassy dessert flavors that exist, so we know this Pot de Crème is a must-try. The smooth texture and minty candy cane topping make this the perfect snack no matter what time of day. We suggest grabbing a cup of coffee and this sweet treat to catch an evening musical performance near Paradise Bay. What could be more quintessentially Festival of Holidays than that? Find this at Winter Sliderland.
