The frothy beverage has been a guest-favorite since the Wizarding World opened at Universal Orlando Resort in 2010, and today the park announced they’ve sold their 20 millionth Butterbeer!
The drink, which comes straight from the pages of the “Harry Potter” book series by J.K. Rowling, tastes similar to cream soda and has a butterscotch-flavored foam topping. Though the book version may have a slight alcoholic content, the in-park beverage is alcohol-free. “It has quickly grown into a “rite-of-passage” for all witches, wizards, and Muggles who visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” says Universal Orlando.
