Howl-O-Scream 2018 at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay thrills visitors with all new frights, including two new haunted houses that transport guests to a horrifying haunted asylum and to the twisted world of Simon, who enjoys sick and twisted games. This year’s event also features five new scare zones and the return of four petrifying haunted houses.

For 19 selects nights (Sept. 21 – Oct. 28) at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay there will be nowhere to hide as Howl-O-Scream invades the park. A terrifying horror event that started right before the new millennium, Howl-O-Scream has spooked guests to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for almost 20 years and this year is no exception. Here is a look all the haunted houses and scare zones from this year’s event.

(NEW) Insomnia – Every door in this haunted asylum leads to your worst nightmare and its head doctor is accepting new patients. Here is where everyone’s worst fears turn into fate as this asylum’s patients are forced to stay awake and receive a new terrifying form of treatment.

(NEW) Simon’s Slaughterhouse – By merely walking into this house you have agreed to play Simon’s sick and twisted games. This house takes screams to the extreme! Enter this bloody realm at your own risk. This house is recommended only for guests aged 17 and above.

The Black Spot – Here guests must escape from Saw Tooth Silas’s murderous hideaway. Saw Tooth Silas is an infamous pirate who has marked those who enter for death. Visitors must escape the dimly-lit corners of this mysterious hideaway or face a horrifying end.

Death Water Bayou – Where visitors must escape the depths of the Bayou before falling victim to the Voodoo Queen’s spell. The Bayou is where the Voodoo Queen and her sadistic creatures transform wanderers into evil minions with dark magic.

Unearthed – A centuries-old house has been Unearthed and this has released a vengeful demon who is seeking revenge! During maintenance at the park, an excavation crew uncovered a centuries-old house buried deep beneath the ground. As they entered, a sinister force was Unearthed. Be careful when visiting this house as its vengeful demon takes her revenge by collecting the eyes of all who enter.

Motel Hell – In this deserted hotel the Sandman waits to make your worst nightmares a reality. The paranormal presence of this motel’s former owners still lurk throughout the untouched property, mysteriously preventing the brave souls who have attempted to tear it down. Upon entering this house guests will come face-to-face with their worst nightmares.

Scare Zones

New to this year’s event are:

  • Maniac Midway – Join Sparky and his carnie crew as they force you to be part of the “scariest show on earth.” Clowns have overtaken the midway and will scour Pantopia looking for the newest stars of this horrid attraction.
  • CAMP DOA – A night as this deadly campground ensures a sleepover like no other. Campers should sleep with one eye open as swamp mutants arise to make sure nobody gets a good night’s sleep at this haunted marsh.
  • DEADLY TOYS – Childhood memories will be crushed as the horror comes to life in Howl-O-Scream 2018. Lock up your toy box because life-size toys are heading out on a murderous rampage and no one is safe from their deadly wrath.
  • DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS – Spirits and souls have been asked to return for a one-of-a-kind celebration. This spooky festival includes a parade to honor those who have gone before us.
  • HELL ON WHEELS – Attempting to approach this apocalyptic arena? Think again, as a motorcycle gang protects the food and supplies that guarantee survival. With this gang in charge, the path to survival is looking grim.

A returning favorite to Howl-O-Scream 2018:

  • MEAT MARKET (17+ RECOMMENDED) – Back and better than ever, the Meat Market is sure to scare your appetite away. Cannibalistic creatures will feast on the weak as they add to their Monster Menu of human hors d’oeuvres.
