Several dining updates are in store for the hotels at Disneyland Resort, with makeovers for Tangaroa Terrace and White Water Snacks and a new pool bar for Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Tangaroa Terrace at Disneyland Hotel will close on September 9, re-opening in early 2019 as Tangaroa Terrace Bar & Grill. While it will retain its 1950s, Tiki-inspired design, the updated eatery will feature a new outdoor bar and updated patio, which will serve an Asian-inspired menu and cocktails with a tropical island vibe. Inside, Tangaroa Terrace Bar & Grill will feature light fixtures crafted from nautical elements like netting and fishing floats. A tropical mural and bamboo accents add to the island decor. At the dedicated service window, guests can pick up coffee in the morning or a refreshing Dole Whip throughout the day.
The eatery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and an open-air marketplace serves up quick meals for guests on-the-go. While Tangaroa Terrace is under refurbishment, select menu offerings are available at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, The Coffee House, and Steakhouse 55.
In addition, White Water Snacks at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa closes for refurbishment on September 24. It will re-open later this year with an updated look. During the refurbishment, select menu offerings are available at Hearthstone Lounge.
That’s not all — a new pool bar is also on the way for Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa. Opening in spring 2019, the new area will feature a custom tile mural at the back bar as well as natural boulder stonework and clinker bricks. New lounge and table seating will be available, and a trellis structure provides a shady spot to relax with drinks and appetizers.
