The Great Irish Hooley is set to return to Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, celebrating Irish song, dance, food and drink at Disney Springs this Labor Day Weekend.
This boutique Irish festival marks the halfway point to St. Patrick’s Day in March. While it’s not quite as big a celebration as St. Patrick’s Day, The Great Irish Hooley provides plenty of musical entertainment including traditional, Celt grass, folk, blues, rock and soul styles. Nine bands will take the Raglan Road stages, including a trio of headliners.
- JigJam — The multi-award-winning Irish quartet will bring their captivating brand of “CeltGrass” (a.k.a. I-Grass) – blending the best of traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana. (Friday through Monday)
- Lisa Canny – The outrageously talented Lisa Canny, 7-time All-Ireland champion on harp and banjo, is an emerging Irish force blending pop and hip-hop with traditional Irish rhythms. (Saturday through Monday)
- Billow Wood – Known as Flat Out when they played Raglan Road in 2016, this male/female four-piece band fuses their unique brand of instrumentation with multi-vocals and harmonies for a blend of Irish and folk music.
As if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, Raglan Road’s show choreographer and champion Irish dancer Ciaran Keating will host a workshop detailing the history of Irish dance. The ever-popular Raglan Road Irish Dancers will also perform throughout the festival as well.
Guests of the festival will also find Irish cuisine, local and national craft beers and new hand-crafted cocktails.
You can experience all of the incredible authentic Irish entertainment and delicious food and beverage of The Great Irish Hooley without having to pay a cover charge, making it the place to be at Disney Springs from August 31 through September 3.
