Make way for a new show at Hong Kong Disneyland. The “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” stage show has debuted at the park, combining storytelling, dancing, puppetry and music to retell the story from the popular 2016 film.
The show is located in a brand new outdoor. open space venue in Adventureland and it is the first show at any Disney Park to feature Moana.
Guests are encouraged to interact with the performers as they tell the tale of the Moana and her travels with the demigod Maui.
The show features tailor-made props, specially created costumes and handcrafted decorations, all based on the film and traditional Polynesian culture.
In addition to the show, guests can also now meet Moana in Adventureland. More Moana-themed offerings will be coming to the resort later this Summer as well.
“Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” is just the first new entertainment offering coming to Hong Kong Disneyland as part of a multi-year expansion that will include an attraction based on “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” immersive areas based on “Frozen” and Marvel and a transformation of the castle with new nighttime and daytime shows. New experiences will open almost every year through 2023.
