The Summer season is here for Disney Cruise Line and that means guests aboard the Disney Wonder can enjoy adventurous Alaskan excursions, including a new wilderness kayaking Port Adventure in Skagway and more.
The Wilderness Kayaking Experience allows guests to explore Alaska’s natural wonders as they kayak through Chilkoot Lake. This excursion includes a high-speed catamaran cruise along Lynn Canal, North America’s longest and deepest fjord, where you might encounter some whales as you glide past majestic glaciers and incredible waterfalls.
The nature-watching continues once you get your kayak on Chilkoot Lake, as it is home to bald eagles, waterfowl, all five species of Pacific salmon and has one of the highest concentrations of brown bears in Alaska.
Another exciting new offering is the Glacier Lake Kayak & White Pass Rail Adventure where guests can explore the clear waters of a glacially carved lake in the Canadian Highlands. The first step of this adventure includes a ride on the the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. Once on the water, guests will enjoy beautiful views of snowcapped mountains in all directions.
Finally, guests can enjoy another wildlife-focused trip with the Glacier Point Wilderness Safari. This adventure includes another breathtaking boat ride down the Lynn Canal, leading to a ride in a 31-foot voyager canoe toward the face of Davidson Glacier. Keep an eye out for whales and sea lions while enjoying the views of the glacier, the mountain and the forest.
