Dude, let’s go bowling! After over a month of a soft opening test-and-adjust period at Disneyland Resort‘s Downtown Disney District, Splitsville Luxury Lanes hosted its grand opening ceremony, bringing the first-ever full-fledged bowling alley to the Happiest Place on Earth in Anaheim, California.
Splitsville owners Guy Revelle and Mark Gibson were on hand for the momentous occasion this morning, and they enlisted the help of Disneyland Resort’s resident sports expert Goofy in marking the occasion with his usual style and grace.

After the festivities, media on hand were ushered inside the location, where we enjoyed complimentary rounds of bowling and had unfettered access to explore the amazing-looking new building that stands on the grounds of the former House of Blues Anaheim, before Disneyland Resort guests were allowed in to the business for the morning.
Some of the cooler features include custom Orange County-themed murals, Mickey Mouse-emblazoned bowling balls, and a window in the upper back left hand corner of Splitsville that looks out onto the Disneyland Monorail track.

During the opening ceremony, Goofy– with the help of his reliable narrator friend– staged a “How to Bowl” tutorial reminiscent of his hilarious 1940s “How To” series of Disney cartoon shorts.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes Anaheim is now officially open for business, and based on my experience this morning it’s the perfect place to wind down before (or after) a long day in the parks.
