VIDEO: Witchcraft-themed bar/restaurant The Cauldron opens next to Knott’s Berry Farm

Step inside The Cauldron at Knott’s Berry Farm, where five empty chairs await guests in a dimly lit bar lined with wooden shelves packed with bottles and illuminated by warm, glowing lights. This witchcraft-themed lounge creates an enchanting atmosphere, setting the stage for a mysterious and magical evening at the park.

Heads up, witches and wizards of the Southern California theme park community! A perfect new hangout has just opened up right across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County’s tranquil neighborhood of Buena Park.

The Cauldron is now serving up Spirits and Brews and offering an atmosphere of “unpretentious sophistication,” along with some impressively-detailed theming, immersive environments, and even a hidden private dining room behind a moving bookcase wall. This week I was fortunate enough to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by The Cauldron’s owner Lara Hanneman.

Hanneman, an executive chef and former creative director for the adjacent (but unrelated) Knott’s, has created a thoroughly enveloping and mesmerizing space utilizing traditional pub-style architecture adorned with artifacts of the occult. The menu draws together exotic drinks with French-inspired cuisine, concocting the ideal atmosphere for would-be conjurers and sorcerers in need of a welcome respite.
