The Atlanta Braves begin their spring training games today at Champion Stadium, which marks their 21st season of spring training workouts at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.
First pitch for today’s game against the Washington Nationals is 1:05 PM. Their home schedule also includes another faceoff with the Nationals on March 1, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals (March 3, 17), the New York Yankees (March 9, 24), and the 2017 World Series Champion Houston Astros (March 8).
Braves fans can sample some new food and beverage options at the stadium this year, including a Latin Rice Bowl with chicken or pork. This new dish is available on the third-base patio.
In addition, look for these four new specialty craft beers:
- Chopsecutioner (Terrapin Beer Company): This beer has a citrusy, hoppy flavor and pairs well with the beef brisket from Barbecue Smokehouse.
- Bell’s Oberen Ale (Bell’s Brewery): A wheat beer that goes well with the chicken nugget basket from Champion Stadium’s Home Plate Grill.
- Una Mas Amber Lager (Left Coast Brewing): Enjoy this lager with a buffalo chicken sandwich.
- Dock Light IPA (3 Daughters Brewing): Try this craft beer with mini-hotdogs and brats from Slider Station.
During games, be on the lookout for Disney character appearances and other in-game entertainment.
Tickets range from $15 (general admission berm seating in left field) to $59 (lower level reserved seats) and can be purchased at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex website. You can also buy tickets through Ticketmaster outlets (800-745-3000) and at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Box Office.
