“Please stand clear of the doors” is a phrase Disney fans know well, but probably don’t actually give much thought. A recent video from a Walt Disney World Monorail passenger shows just how important that message actually is.

Guests riding the monorail to Epcot recently had a frightening experience when the door partially opened while the tram was in motion. A guest captured the nerve-racking moment in a series of social media posts.

I need a drink. @disney, guys, you gotta get on this, what if somebody had fallen?

While the open door obviously presents a major safety concern, luckily no one was injured in this particular incident.

Disney recently added stickers above the doors of the monorail, warning guests not to lean against the doors.

According to a company spokesperson, safety is a top priority for Disney. The monorail was removed from service once cast members were made aware of the issue.
