Get ready to get inspired. Each year one hundred high school students are selected to participate in Disney Dreamers Academy— a four-day retreat to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida– where the teenage attendees will attend engaging presentations with exciting guest speakers in the fields of animation, journalism, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, and zoology. The students will also take part in unique networking and interviewing opportunities in addition to enjoying Walt Disney World‘s magical theme parks.
Today on ABC‘s “Good Morning America,” five of the budding scholars selected for the 2018 Disney Dreamers Academy were notified live on air, with a surprise appearance by none other than Mickey Mouse, alongside Disney executive Tracey Powell. Academy mentor Steve Harvey (“Family Feud”) even conveyed his congratulations via a pre-taped message.
