Gatorland has officially opened its newest attraction to its wildlife preserve and theme park, a wild and bumpy off-road adventure!

Gatorland has been a destination for those looking to get up close with Florida’s most popular wildlife for the past 68 years. The park is known for having thousands of alligators and crocodiles, a breeding marsh with boardwalk and observation tower, and everyone’s favorite reptile shows where the trainers actually stick their head’s in the mouths of real crocodiles. Today, the park now officially offers the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure.

This new ride and Gator Joe’s Adventure Outpost were a part of a $2.5 million dollar expansion to the theme park. Gator Joe’s Adventure Outpost serves as the park’s home base of reserving and purchasing all separately-ticketed park adventures, including the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure, Screamin’ Gator Zip Line, Adventure Hour, Gator Night Shine, and Trainer For A Day. This new outpost is also where guests go to ride the new off-road attraction.

The new facility was named after one of the park’s beloved former employees who had worked at the park for over 50 years and made a significant impact on the growth of Gatorland to what it is today.

This morning Mark McHugh, President and CEO of Gatorland, got up and said a few words about the former team member and expressed his and the company’s excitement for the new attraction. The ceremony closed with an official ribbon cutting signifying the opening of the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure Ride.

Guests at Gatorland gather by the boats, surrounded by a burst of confetti, snapping photos and cheering with raised hands to celebrate the grand opening of the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure Ride.

The new adventure takes guests into a section of the park that has never been seen, running alongside the swamps that feed the headwaters of the everglades. The attraction features three separate off-road vehicles, each capable of seating 12 riders at a time and the driver. Each of the three vehicles are decorated to represent iconic alligators and crocodiles from Gatorland’s rich history.

Bonecrusher’s mural at Gatorland features a powerhouse alligator triumphantly raising broken bones above a bold “BONECRUSHER” sign, capturing the park’s wild spirit and thrilling atmosphere.

Swamp Ghost, a whimsical alligator spirit dressed in a hat and vest, hovers above his signature sign inside the themed attraction.

Cannibal Jake, the signature cartoon alligator with stitches and a wide-open mouth, towers above his iconic sign, inviting guests to this adventurous theme park attraction.
