Universal Orlando recently announced the return of A Celebration of Harry Potter, and now they’re revealing some of the magical activities and demonstrations fans can look forward to this winter.

The weekend-long event takes place from January 26 – 28, 2018. Take a look at the 2017 highlights video below, and then scroll down for more information on this year’s activities.

Harry Potter Chalk Art Walk

A talented artist at Universal Orlando’s A Celebration of Harry Potter sketches a colorful bird from the Wizarding World in chalk, using a reference image and inviting guests to experience magical Harry Potter-themed activities.

Delight in “Harry Potter” artwork from talented chalk artists, who draw your favorite characters from the “Potter” films and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

Guests can show off their chalk drawing skills in the fan art gallery, which is on display during the entire event.

Film Screenings

Gryffindor fan in signature red hat and scarf celebrates with fellow wizards in the lively nighttime crowd at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Relive your favorite moments from the “Harry Potter” films during screenings at Music Plaza. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy a Butterbeer and share magical movie moments with other fans.

Harry Potter Knowledge Challenge

Young wizards and witches eagerly raise their hands at Universal Orlando’s A Celebration of Harry Potter, surrounded by beaming fans, capturing the immersive excitement and magical energy of this beloved event.

Are you as smart as Hermione? Put your “Harry Potter” trivia to the test during this audience-participation game for fans of all ages.

Beauxbatons and Durmstrang Choreography

Performers dressed as Hogwarts duelists face off with staffs during a live show on stage at Universal Orlando’s A Celebration of Harry Potter, while fellow wizards and witches in themed costumes look on, capturing the excitement and immersive magic fans experience at this special event.

At this demonstration, learn movements and techniques from a Universal Orlando choreographer that works with the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students who perform at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Learn from Wand Combat Choreographer Paul Harris

Guests dressed in matching orange shirts join the fun on stage at Universal Orlando, striking wizarding poses with wands against a blue Harry Potter-themed backdrop.

The world’s only Wand Combat Choreographer, Paul Harris, teaches guests how to wield their wands like Harry Potter himself. A kids’ panel is offered for guests aged 12 and under.
