If you don’t already have plans for Halloween weekend (or, if you do, you might want to change them), you’ll want to check out Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend as it returns to Orlando October 27-29th.

The South East’s largest horror convention returns with host of horror heavies and fiendishly fun events for a spooktacular weekend at the super swanky Hyatt Regency Orlando at the end of this month.

Big name stars like Richard Dreyfuss (“Jaws,” “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”), John Cusack (“The Raven,” “Better Off Dead”), Joan Cusack (Toy Story of Horror”, “Addams Family Values”) join stars from “What We Do in the Shadows,” “IT” (2017) and more for a Halloween celebration that’s sure to wake the dead.

These creepy cool celebrities will be available for autographs, photo ops and many will entertain fans with special Q&A panels as well.

In addition to the celebrity media guests, Spooky Empire hosts a huge vendor’s room, Tattoo artists, creators track (with authors and artists) and how-to classes on horror makeup and more.  Fans of macabre movies will enjoy the horror film festival. For young monsters ta Spooky Kids track is offered.  Additional fan run panels and author panels/signings round out the weekend.

In addition to a charity casino night, Saturday night will witness a wicked Halloween party featuring performances by Misfits tribute band Fiend 138, and G Tom Mac (“Cry Little Sister” from “the Lost Boys”).

Over $1000 in prizes is up for grabs in the costume contest on Sunday afternoon.

Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend is run by fans who love the genre. This makes the event feel like a giant fear fan family reunion and ghoulishly great way to spend the Halloween weekend. The Ultimate Horror Weekend kicks off on Friday 10/27 at 1pm and runs through Sunday evening.  All events take place at the Hyatt Regency Orlando (next to the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando FL). Tickets, a full list of media guests, class and demos, author and celebrity panels and full schedule of weekend events can be found on their website.
