Have you ever wondered what happens to Disney characters in the lifetimes following their respective stories? Photographer Tony Ross and designer Nephi Garcia have created a gorgeous photo series that images what some of the most famous Disney Princesses would look like as more mature women, after they have aged into their roles as stately Queens.
Presented in a clever “before-and-after” style sequence, the series (which was apparently created for Mother’s Day using real-life mother a daughter pairs) depicts the famous characters in their familiar states as young women, and then projects them forward several decades. Represented are Ariel from “The Little Mermaid,” Belle from “Beauty and the Beast,” Elena from the Disney Channel series “Elena of Avalor,” and Mulan and Cinderella from their eponymous Disney animated features.
