Adventure Island announces epic new drop slide “Vanish Point” for 2018

Guests laugh and play beneath splashing water at Adventure Island, surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of the water park, with the iconic Vanish Point drop slide creating an epic backdrop on a sunny day.

A new epic drop slide will offer guests a thrilling ride at Adventure Island Tampa Bay starting in March 2018.

According to the press release, Vanish Point is inspired by the point on a wave where water and gravity form the perfect partnership. The crest of the 70-foot tower challenges guests with two 425-foot wave paths. Riders step into one of two skyboxes and face their fears as the floor disappears below. For another option, guests can ride a 455-foot slide that ends with a high-speed finale.

WATCH – VANISH POINT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Construction on Vanish Point is expected to begin in the next few weeks. The ride will be located at the center of the park next to another popular thrill ride, Colossal Curl.
