Of course Disneyland is wonderful all year ’round, but if you ask me, there’s no better time to visit Walt Disney’s original Magic Kingdom than during the early fall– the Southern California weather begins to cool off, kids are back in school, and Halloween season emerges as the predominant theme.

While this year’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort is dominated by the massive influx of new content at its sister theme park Disney California Adventure, Disneyland remains no slouch in the Halloween department. As usual, Jack O’Lanterns line Main Street USA, Zocalo Park pays tribute to the Mexican Day of the Dead, and the Haunted Mansion sees its annual “Nightmare Before Christmas” makeover as Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Even at the popular adjacent Downtown Disney District shopping area, the outdoor mall has been transformed with autumnal atmosphere and pumpkins galore…
