Since Cars Land opened in Disney California Adventure over five years ago, the residents of Radiator Springs have been celebrating Christmas, with the town transforming into a winter wonderland each holiday season. But until now guests haven’t experienced the spookiest time of year in this Pixar-inspired area of the park.

With “Haul-O-Ween,” Disneyland Resort has introduced the very first Halloween-themed overlay into Cars Land, complete with hundreds of “Cars”-appropriate creepy decorations, trick-or-treat costumes for all your favorite characters including Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater, and even a terrifying “zombie car” wrapped around a tree (that happens to come to life every few minutes with incredibly eerie sounds and lighting effects).

As you can see in the videos above, even two of the rides in Cars Land are getting in on the Haul-O-Ween action, with Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters transformed into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree now known as Mater’s Graveyard Jambooree. New music was recorded for the attractions featuring the original voiceover actors for both characters.

Over at Radiator Springs Racers, the giant rock formations of Ornament Valley are lit in a supernatural green and purple glow. The overall effect of Haul-O-Ween convincingly immerses “Cars” fans in what Halloween would feel like in the fictional town of Radiator Springs.
