Regulars at (and visitors to) the Universal CityWalk Hollywood shopping district have another cause to celebrate. The popular Southern California-based dessert and beverage chain Snow Monster has opened a new “mini monster” location just outside the gates to Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles.
The minimalist decor in the shop shouldn’t turn off seekers of the unusual. Snow Monster is the first eatery to offer “made-to-order, customizable macaron ice cream sandwiches” and were the originators of “the iconic etched logo take-home glass jars” with the company’s logo emblazoned on them.
Snow Monster has the following to say about their beverage selection:
Our flavorful teas and boba are made in small batches on site. Usually you can find one of our team members brewing tea and cooking boba throughout the entire day. Most of the time the boba is served warm which creates a delicious contrast with our cold drinks. Each batch of tea goes through a long hot brew process. Our loose leaf teas go through a multi-step process which takes time in order to fully extract the tea flavors. Please let us know if you would like your drink adjusted.
The store replaced the soap boutique Lush at CityWalk, and while it has been soft open for a couple weeks, today the official Universal Studios Hollywood Twitter account send out the first official acknowledgment of the Mini Monster’s launch.
