The characters from Marvel’s popular “Guardians of the Galaxy” film series all have very distinctive appearances, but among the most striking looks is that of Michael Rooker‘s ravager role Yondu, instantly recognizable for his red mohawk and blue skin.

Next Tuesday, August 22nd, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon– in celebration of the home video release of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”— fans will have the opportunity to join Rooker at Shorty’s Barber Shop in West Hollywood, California, where they can walk away with a “Yondu Look” of their very own.

Activities will include:

  • Giveaways of Blu-ray Combo Packs and Digital Copies of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, posters signed by Michael Rooker, and other Guardians themed items
  • A themed photo opportunity
  • $50 gift certificate to Shorty’s Barber Shop for the first 50 fans in attendance

Up to ten “Guardians of the Galaxy” devotees who are willing to go “the full Yondu” (including red hair dye and mohawk shave) will get the chance to meet Michael Rooker himself and receive a ravager-worthy haul of “Guardians” loot. Two of those fans will also win a custom Yondu umbrella that will have them yelling “I’m Mary Poppins, y’all!

Anyone interested in signing up for “the Full Yondu” haircut at the event should email the organizers at gettheyondulook@gmail.com. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and must be available to get their hair dyed on Monday, August 21, and shaved or styled from 9:00AM-12:00PM on Tuesday, August 22.
