Pennywise the clown greets guests with a chilling grin, clutching a red balloon and showing off his classic white face paint and bold red markings—an unmissable horror icon ready to give thrill-seekers a spine-tingling experience at Alamo Drafthouse’s Clown Screening event.

Alamo Drafthouse is holding a special screening of Stephen King’s “IT,” but the movie won’t be the only terror that awaits.

For this Clown Screening on September 9, attendees should arrive dressed as Pennywise. Starting at 5:30PM, a pre-party features face-painters for clown makeup touch-ups, a photo booth, raffles, and other scary fun.

The new film, starring Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, will be screened at 7:00PM.

Pennywise, with his signature white face paint and red lips, emerges from a shadowy sewer clutching the iconic “SS Georgie” paper boat—get ready for chills as this infamous clown from IT haunts the halls during Alamo Drafthouse’s Clown Screening event.

If you can handle being in a theater full of frightening clowns, purchase tickets for the Austin, TX, event at the Alamo Drafthouse website.

“IT” arrives in theaters on September 8.
