“Spongebob SquarePants.” “Rugrats.” “Rocko’s Modern Life.” “Ren and Stimpy.” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Over the past four decades, the name Nickelodeon has become synonymous with quality children’s programming– often with an edge that parents tend to overlook, much to the glee of hyperactive mayhem-loving kids across America.
At this year’s San Diego Comic Con in Southern California, Nickelodeon’s interactive booth represented those qualities with a visit to SpongeBob’s famous pineapple house at the bottom of the ocean. Fans could also take photos with characters like Patrick the starfish and SpongeBob himself, or line up for cool exclusive merchandise featuring the likenesses of some of their favorite cartoon faces from throughout Nickelodeon’s history.

Nickelodeon’s presence at San Diego Comic-Con has only grown in recent memory, so if you count yourself among the basic cable network’s many fans, you may want to make it a point to attend the convention in 2018.
