New “Summer Blast” show arrives at Shanghai Disneyland in time for the hottest season

Shanghai Disneyland is just over a year old and it’s already started adding new and exciting seasonal attractions. Just in time for summer, the park has begun performances of the “Summer Blast” stage show that takes place in front of the Enchanted Storybook Castle, and features characters from “Finding Dory” as well as Mickey and Friends, of course!

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy light up the stage in vibrant costumes as water fountains dance in front of them during the exciting new Summer Blast show at Shanghai Disneyland.

The official Disney description of the show is as follows: “You’ll have the chance to adventure through an exotic rainforest, surf the waves in Hawaii, and explore the deep sea as your favorite Disney characters spray and mist you with water. Once you make your way back to the surface, join in for more dancing, music and fun.”

There’s also a Duffy the Disney Bear pre-parade and interactive water features added to existing shows like “Bai Ling Story Time – Little Mermaid,” “The Swabbies Cool-Off” and “A Pirate’s Life in Summer.”

Guests at Shanghai Disneyland savoring the magic of Summer Blast, smiling as they enjoy classic chocolate and vanilla Mickey Mouse-shaped ice cream bars together.

Plus, Shanghai Disneyland Resort has added new summertime treats to help guests cool off and beat the heat, including Dory’s Deep Blue Sea Cooler and Stitch’s Aloha Colada. All that is in addition to new merchandise, character-shaped desserts, and Adventure Isle corn dogs.
