Lyft-powered Minnie van service launches at Walt Disney World

in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

By now, you’ve probably heard about the cleverly-named Minnie vans at Walt Disney World Resort. The polka-dotted vehicles were announced at the D23 Expo 2017 a few weeks ago and, in partnership with Lyft, Disney launched its new transportation service today.

This new service will allow guests to use the Lyft app to setup a ride to wherever they need to go in the Walt Disney World Resort. The vehicles will fit six passengers and include two versatile car seats. The ride will cost a flat rate of $20 regardless of the distance.

WATCH – TAKE AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE NEW MINNIE VANS:

The service is currently only available to guests of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts between the hours of 6:30 A.M. and 12:30 A.M.

Price is a bit high, since you can Uber around the park for <$10 almost anywhere.

I wonder if WDW will now exclude Uber from their properties?
