JW Marriott files plans for new hotel near Walt Disney World’s Epcot

JW Marriott’s sparkling resort pool surrounded by palm trees and inviting cabanas, with golden towers rising in the background just minutes from the thrills and magic of Walt Disney World, all under a bright blue sky.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, a new JW Marriott hotel may be opening near Epcot at Walt Disney World.

On Monday, planning and engineering firm Kimley Horn filed an application for the hotel on behalf of property owners DCS Investments. Not much detail about the new hotel is known at this time, but the application identifies the project as JW Marriott at Bonnet Creek with an address on Chelonia Parkway, placing it at the corner of Epcot Center Drive and Interstate 4.

JW Marriott Grande Lakes, the company’s other location in Orlando, is one of the largest hotels in the area with around 1,000 rooms.

A scenic golf course with sand bunkers and a sparkling pond sits just outside Epcot, with the grand JW Marriott and another large resort hotel rising behind it under a clear blue sky—offering a relaxing retreat right next to Walt Disney World excitement.
