The lively entrance of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Los Angeles, surrounded by guests strolling past vibrant food venue signs and bustling patio seating, invites movie lovers for an unforgettable entertainment experience.

Hollywood is finally getting its own Alamo Drafthouse cinema.

The beloved Austin-based theater chain is opening its first Los Angeles location in The Bloc. The downtown venue houses retail stores, restaurants, a fitness center, and more.

Alamo Drafthouse provides a unique movie-going experience, with in-theater dining and a curated program of blockbuster films, indie movies, and special screenings. Local craft beers and cocktails are on the menu as well.

Visitors explore a lively outdoor entertainment complex in Los Angeles, browsing shops, relaxing in themed seating areas, and enjoying attractions like the Alamo Drafthouse cinema.

Located on the second and third floors of The Bloc, the cinema will have twelve screens and auditoriums featuring state-of-the-art 4K digital projection. The theaters don’t have traditional front rows, eliminating the “bad seats” in the house.

For an example of a cool event from Alamo Drafthouse, the company is hosting a special screening of “Jaws” at the Volente Beach Water Park in Texas. Movie-goers float on inner tubes while watching the classic thriller.

LA’s Alamo Drafthouse is scheduled to open in 2018.
