It’s hammer time! This morning the vastly popular toy company LEGO revealed two awesome new building sets based on the highly-anticipated upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie “Thor: Ragnarok,” starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Tom Hiddleston and directed by Taika Waititi (“What We Do in the Shadows”).
The first set (#76088) is called “Thor vs. Hulk: Arena Clash” and includes LEGO minifigures of Thor, Loki, Grandmaster, and a Sakaarian Guard, plus a big figure of Hulk as a Gladiator. It also features a sliding gate, interchangeable wall sections, a secret weapons rack, two toppling pillars, an opening prison cell, and more action elements like a smashable wall.
The second set (#76084) is called “The Ultimate Battle for Asgard” and includes LEGO minifigures of Thor, Bruce Banner, Valkyrie, Hela, and two Berserkers, plus a buildable Fenris wolf with glow-in-the-dark elements. The Commodore spaceship features an opening cockpit, two stud shooters, a storage compartment and a minifigure-drop function. Bruce Banner even has a double-sided head– one with a face that begins his angry transformation into the Hulk.
These two amazingly detailed LEGO building sets will become available on Tuesday, August 1st in the United States. “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to hit theaters nationwide on Friday, November 3rd from Marvel Studios.
