Being of two minds is not necessarily a bad thing. This is especially true for the Manhattan, NY, location of Mission Escape Games “Escape the Hydeout” adventure.
Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” this escape experience leaves players with only an hour to unravel the mystery of what has happened to Dr. Jekyll.
Travel back in time to the Victorian era for this Jekyll & Hyde escape experience. The good Doctor has behaving rather odd as of late and is nowhere to be found. Before the time runs out and Mr. Hyde finds you, you must find your way out Dr. Jekyll’s home. Up to eight can enter this precarious puzzle. Entrance to this Victorian vexation is $28 per person.
In addition to this classic horror themed puzzle, Mission Escape Games offers three more challenges.
Escape the Initiation
Participants must prove that they are worthy of joining a super-secret society. There are two options, either complete the tasks set forth by Mister M or be ensnared for eternity. Up to six initiates can try to make the grade. Each ‘employee’ must pay $28 to perform.
Escape the Nemesis
In this science fiction themed thriller the crew must prevent the starship U.S.S. Nemesis from plummeting to the Earth. This space saga sanctions up to eight crew members. The cost to try to save this ship is $28 per person.
Escape the Darkest Hour
Kidnapped and left in the dark with only a flashlight, you and your fellow victims must figure out how to escape before your killer captor makes you the next corpse. In a unique twist to most puzzling placements, this nightmare can be enjoyed by a single player or up to six players. Due to the private nature of this unique experience, the price to participate is $180 regardless if one or six enter the room.
Mission Escape Games Manhattan location can be found in the Chinatown area of New York City at 55-59 Chrystie St, Ground Floor in Suite 106.
