Nutella Café to open in Chicago, offering plenty of new ways to get your Nutella fix

The Nutella Café in Chicago, with its eye-catching themed storefront, expansive windows, and outdoor seating area bustling with visitors and passersby, exudes the lively charm of a signature destination where Nutella fans can immerse themselves in the brand’s world—much like stepping into a dedicated entertainment attraction designed for chocolate-hazelnut lovers.

If you don’t live in Chicago, you may be moving there when you hear this news. An official Nutella Café is scheduled to open at the end of May.

It’s the first all-Nutella restaurant to be owned and operated by Ferrero, the company that owns the Nutella brand.  Located on Michigan Avenue, the new café will be joining Nutella eateries already inside Eataly in New York and Chicago.

The design of the restaurant echoes the red and white colors on every jar of Nutella. As Angela Baird, the director of operations of BIG Retail, told the Chicago Tribune, “It’s designed to make you feel like you’re actually walking into a jar of Nutella.”

The menu offers plenty of new ways to enjoy Nutella, including this waffle drizzled with the hazelnut spread and topped with vanilla ice cream.

A golden waffle piled high with creamy vanilla ice cream and drizzled in luscious Nutella chocolate sauce, served on a classic white plate—just like the show-stopping treats you’d find at Universal Studios’ themed dessert spots.

There’s also an affogato served with fior di latte gelato, covered in Nutella and a warm espresso shot.

Vanilla ice cream on a chewy cookie, drizzled with chocolate syrup and a swirl of Nutella, served in a white bowl—an indulgent dessert reminiscent of the decadent treats found at Universal Studios’ CityWalk or the themed eateries at Disneyland.

How about these crepes stuffed with Nutella?

A whimsical crepe dusted with powdered sugar, topped with vibrant sliced strawberries, and slathered with Nutella and chopped nuts, served on a plate—reminiscent of the mouthwatering desserts you’d find at Universal Studios’ sweet shops or during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival.

If your mouth is watering, you’ll only have to wait until May 31 when the restaurant opens at 10:00AM. Nutella is giving away prizes to the first 400 visitors, so get there early.
