The Grove Resort & Spa breaks ground on new Surfari Water Park, just outside Orlando

Mark your calendars because coming in early 2018, The Grove Residences, located in The Grove Resort & Spa in Orlando are set to open their very own water park.

Construction is underway at The Grove Resort & Spa near Orlando, as a team of builders in red hard hats and black shirts break ground with shovels, setting the stage for exciting new experiences alongside the renowned Surfari Water Park. Dirt piles and construction equipment hint at upcoming attractions sure to thrill future guests.

The resort, located only minutes from the gates of Walt Disney World has just broke ground on Surfari Water Park. The park will feature dual Flow Rider surf machines, two-story water slides, a kids area and an interactive water structure. Guests will also be able to unwind after a long day at nearby theme parks in this water park’s 725 foot lazy river.

Admittance to the new water park will be included in a resort fee which also includes the transportation between nearby theme parks and the resort via shuttles. The water park will only be available to guests who stay on property.

The resort already has The Springs, which is a combination of three swimming pools. One of the pools is geared more for kids with the additions of a water slide and water fountains.

Some other amenities guests can expect with their stay at the resort include:

  • Escape Spa, which features a full-service menu of body and facial treatments. The spa also services guests with manicures and pedicures. If your looking to stay fit on vacation, Escape Spa also features a fitness center with cardiovascular and strength training equipment.

Lounge chairs with plush cushions and small tables topped with magazines set the perfect scene to recharge after riding waves and racing slides at Surfari Water Park inside Orlando’s Grove Resort, while a vibrant purple orchid adds a splash of color by the window. The Grove Resort & Spa’s tranquil spa room, complete with a treatment bed, facial steamer, sink, and a selection of rejuvenating spa essentials on the bed—an ideal spot to unwind after riding waves and enjoying the thrills at Surfari Water Park. Wooden panels accented with lively green moss strips line the speckled walkway, evoking the immersive, natural theming often found at top Orlando attractions and capturing the relaxing vibes of Grove Resort & Spa just moments from all the theme park excitement. Three treadmills overlook lush greenery through large windows in The Grove Resort & Spa’s gym, offering a peaceful workout spot between exciting trips to nearby attractions like Orlando’s Surfari Water Park and world-famous theme parks.

  • Alfresco Market, an on-location grab-and-go style market is where guests can pick up hot and cold self-serve food. The market will also contain gelato and ice creams, a barista bar, a deli with fresh-cut Boar’s head meats and made-to-order sandwiches.

  • Element Lounge, is a place where guests can unwind in an elegant, and modern atmosphere that will host live entertainment of a piano player. The lounge will serve a libation menu that will feature craft cocktails and craft beer.

 

Some aquatic amenities that guests can take part in off of Lake Austin include canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and speed boat rides.

Amenities coming in the future to the resort include a 221-seat restaurant which will serve Italian, Spanish and French-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also a Springs Bar & Grill which will be located at the Springs Resort pool. The restaurant will serve traditional bites such as hamburgers, chicken wings, and stone brick oven pizzas.

Guests can now come and make a reservation at the resort for short stays. This condo hotel operates as both a hotel and a timeshare where guests can purchase certain rooms that they can visit throughout the year. If guests choose to purchase a condo, it will be managed by the hotel and rented out to other guests during the time that they are not staying in the residence. This is a new form of vacation home ownership where you legally own a condominium with all of the benefits of fee-simple ownership, but operated as a hotel.
