Gatorland, Florida’s biggest gator park, announced its first expansion since the park opened in 1949. “Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure” is a new action trail that uses swamp buggies take guests through the woods, swamp, and into the water with the famous gators. “These are mudslinging, gator-jumping, pond-stumping swamp buggies. It’s going to be a blast,” Gatorland CEO and president Mark McHugh told the local news.
Three heavy-duty swamp buggies will take 12 visitors at a time for a 15-minute ride amongst the reptiles. The goal is to give guests an adrenaline-pumping adventure that also educates people on the fearsome alligators. Gatorland has been developing adventure-based educational experiences for the last ten years.
Of course, the ride will be designed so that both people and gators are safe and sound. “Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure” will open this fall.
