Disney has found their Anna and Elsa for the theatrical production of “Frozen” on Broadway. Patti Murin will play the part of Anna. Caissie Levy has landed the role of Elsa. Murin and Levy will join the likes of Jelani Aladdin (Kristoff), Greg Hildreth (Olaf), John Riddle (Hans) and Robert Creighton (Duke of Weselton) up on the stage.
Both women are veterans on Broadway with a list of credible roles to their names. Marin is most recognized for her parts in “Lysistrata Jones” and “Xanadu.” Levy is applauded for her roles in “Ghost,” “Les Miserables” and “Hair.”
“Frozen” on Broadway will stick with the roots it grew from, featuring the music and lyrics’s of the movie’s original composers–Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. It will also take on Rob Ashford, a Tony Award winner, as choreographer, replacing Christopher Gattelli.
The production will open in New York in the spring of 2018.
