With timely, subtle references to everyone’s favorite Time Lord, the Pandorica restaurant in Beacon, New York is a brilliant Doctor Who inspired restaurant where Whovians can dine on “intergalactic comfort foods starting with ‘spoilers’ and ending with ‘sweeties.’”
Tastefully decorated with various pieces of art and items inspired by the show (including Van Gough’s “Exploding T.A.R.D.I.S.” painting, a large glowing “crack” in the wall, and smaller scale Pandorica crashed into another wall), Pandorica is a cozy place to spend some time enjoying fine food while watching episode of “Doctor Who.”
The menu is filled with references to the BBC show with items like (from the SPOILERS section) Fish Fingers and Custard, WHOmmus, Gallifreyed Potato Pancakes, K-9s (mini corn dogs), Satan’s Pit of Pierogies and Silurian Nest (Fried Alligator “eggs” nest atop seasoned fried potatoes).
Entrées include Are You My Mummy Bacon Bound Beef, Thymey Wimey Beef Cottage Pie, and Krafayis Chicken Cottage Pie. On the “Sweeties” time travelers will find desserts like Bannakaffalatta Bread Pudding, Madame De Pompadour Cake, and Fish Fingers and Custard (battered dipped French toast).
