FIRST LOOK: "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" toy reveals new look at Kurt Russel's character, Ego the Living Planet

A new look at Ego the Living Planet, the father of Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” comes to us in the form of toy packaging. It reveals a rugged but handsome character, sporting a full beard.

The character of Ego is a unique one–existing as a sentient planet that can take on human form. It’s this human form that helped conceive Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord. As you can imagine, this lays the ground work for a messy plot line that revolves around Peter Quill discovering his true lineage.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is set to hit theaters soon on May 5, 2017.
