Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has been canceled tonight, October 6, due to Hurricane Matthew making its way ever closer to Central Florida’s coasts.

At this time, Disney has not indicated that their park will close during its regularly scheduled hours. However, they have evacuated the Fort Wilderness campground as a safety measure. Guests staying in the bungalows at Polynesian Village Resort and Saratoga Springs Treetop Villas have been moved to alternate lodgings as well.

This is more FYI then a comment for anyone reading this… I heard from cms and read on social media outlets the frustration towards guest services trying their best to reschedule or refund events due to the storm! Or people just in general making rude comments about why is it cancelled… A hurricane is coming and though some might not get this not only is your life at stake if it is but so are the hundreds of employees that are hired to work & preform. Working in a hurricane is not in any job description! And guest services is doing their best to help in an already trying situation! Please do your best to have patience! Thank you!
