Celebrate the Magic projection show going down for refurbishment in August at Magic Kingdom

in Disney, Magic Kingdom, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

Most attractions and shows at Disney Parks need a little down time now and then to keep them fresh and working well for their voracious audience. Unfortunately it always happens during somebody’s planned vacation and in August it’s the popular ‘Celebrate the Magic’ show at Magic Kingdom’s turn to take a little break.

According to wdwmagic.com, the Cinderella Castle projection show will have no scheduled performances throughout August 5th to August 30th. This is a planned maintenance refurbishment to upgrade the projectors for the show.

Celebrate the Magic will be back to regular business at Walt Disney World on August 31st.

  1. Just a quick heads up Connie, it should be August 31st

Keep up the great work though! 🙂

    1. And I’m aware you’re name just auto-corrected to Connie, instead of Corinne! 😉

        Thank you!

Bummer! It seems we planned our trip during an awful time for refurbishments. Alas, I am a teacher and must go to Disney in the summer. Now, one of my absolute favorite shows (Celebrate the Magic), and favorite attractions (Big Thunder) will be closed while we’re there. Oh well, I understand it needs to happen. I just have to get back to Disney next year! Hopefully, no more closings or surprises! 🙂
