I’m torn. Last year was so much fun and my first year. Swore I’d do it again but I’m a night person. Andhearing that Disney changed it to a morning race for financial reasons makes me want to skip it in protest. The only reason I am considering is I want to see if I have fun and I know there’s enough people to run it that all the complaining might make a difference. All the years I’ve defended Disney I might join the naysayers finally.
Disney IS a company, and the “bottom line” does matter… Changing for financial reasons is just smart business… Look for the silver lining! Morning race doesn’t mean it will be any less magical, and now you can rest up and be fully charged for the after party!!! This actually works better for me. And if you run quickly enough, you’ll still be running before the suns up for most of the race ..
This is the most fun marathon ever. Having a set up like this brings you back to your childhood and showing your passion for running. Don’t stop putting up events like this.
Wow! This is good news for all runners. Personally, I would love to attend this kind of event not just because of disney offering but more of the fact that it can help me achieve a better health.
