VIDEO: Disneyland’s Jambalaya Jazz band performs on Mark Twain Riverboat during Rivers of America construction

The Jambalaya Jazz Band livens up the Mark Twain Riverboat at Disneyland, as four band members in vibrant suspenders and playful hats fill the deck with energetic brass and woodwind music, creating a festive atmosphere for guests onboard.

With the Rivers of America currently out of commission for at least a year and a half, the Mark Twain Riverboat now sits semi-permanently docked at the “Frontier Landing” near the entrance to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland. But the park has decided to put the boat to good use: it now serves as a scenic gathering place for guests looking to rest or eat their lunches, an additional character meet-and-greet area, and a performance space for New Orleans Square’s own Jambalaya Jazz band.

The band meets at regular intervals during the day to perform its versatile routine of American jazz standards, in the same spot where Louis Armstrong once performed over fifty years ago.
