We’re just four months away from Shanghai Disneyland’s grand June 16th opening, and now more and more construction pictures are popping up daily giving us a glimpse of how this fantastic resort is coming together.

Let’s start with taking a look at the biggest castle in Disney Parks history: The Enchanted Storybook Castle.

Shanghai Disneyland’s Main Street will be called Mickey Avenue and will feature tons of cute Disney character inspired buildings.

In Fantasyland, construction is progressing nicely on the Winnie the Pooh ride Hunny Pot Spin and the Tangled-inspired restaurant.

In Tomorrowland, the most anticipated attraction is the TRON Lightcycle Power Run, and if we look at these recent construction pictures it’s going to be massive.

We also found two videos giving you a look at the current construction with TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Fantasia Carousel and the Roaring Rapids attractions featured.

Meanwhile back in the states, all of the parks are facing cutbacks since Shanghai is over budget and behind schedule. Hope it was worth it while you wait in longer lines and enjoy less shows and magic.

why would you say that with no proof, no evidence, you are trolling for attention…………

    2. Angry Disney fan

You are not trolling at all. I live in Orlando and I have a lot of friends that work or worked at WDW. Due to the over budget of this park there’s been a lot of hours cut and contracts that weren’t renewed. By the way I am a annual pass holder at WDW and have been for three years. The prices have gone up every year, and the quality of the park or “The Magic” has decreases along with the price increase.

  2. Wow Shanghai Disneyland is so beautiful and I’m really excited to see what it looks like after it’s finished being built.

My mother immigrated to Shanghai in 1939 from Vienna, Austria. China was one of only 2 countries that opened their border to people without passports. She is very grateful to China for this. She lived in Shanghai for 8 years, met my Dad who was in the US Army in Shanghai, married him in 1945, moved to Hollywood, California and in 1951 she and my Dad moved to Burbank, California where me and my 2 brothers and my sister grew up. Amazing growing up in Burbank, home of Walt Disney Studio’s, my Mom has gone full circle and now Disneyland is building a resort in Shanghai. My Mom will be 87 on March 13th this year and maybe we can get her to Shanghai for their grand opening. We were last in Shanghai in 2012. My Mom made her way to Iceland last November and in August she is taking our family to Milan, Venice and back to Vienna. How wonderful Disneyland will be opening in Shanghai…
