SeaWorld Orlando installs tallest point of new Mako roller coaster

in SeaWorld

Construction on SeaWorld Orlando’s new roller coaster, Mako, is in progress, with the latest development being the installation of the tallest point of the coaster.

This 200-foot tall hill will make Mako Orlando’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster, reaching speeds of 73 mph on the 4,760 feet of track. This ride will be the centerpiece of a two-acre, shark themed area of the park.

Construction will continue over the next few months, giving guests the ability to watch the process of the building of the hyper coaster — which is a type of coaster known for high speeds, steep drops, and hills that create a feeling of weightlessness or “air time.”
