This past Saturday the annual Grinchmas celebration began at Universal Studios Hollywood, and as with years prior it is chock-full of holiday fun in Universal plaza in the park’s upper lot area, directly adjacent to the soon-to-be-opened Wizarding World of Harry Potter area. Grinchmas features a wide array of activities and performances, not the least of which is a meet and greet with the one and only Grinch.

As you can see in the videos above and the images below, the area is packed to the gills with fun things to do and see. After meeting the Grinch and his adorable dog Max, you can decorate your own cookie at the Whobilicious treat station, trim up the trees in a special lot with your own personalized ornaments, or sit down in the viewing area to enjoy a show in front of the giant Dr. Seuss-inspired Christmas tree.
The performances include the flashy and glamorous Martha May and the Who-Dolls, the boy band-esque Whoville Singers, and Story Time with Cindy-Lou Who, which includes an interactive reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with audience participation.
Whether you or your family are fans of the original Dr. Seuss story or the 2000 Ron Howard movie starring Jim Carrey, you’ll probably get a kick out of visiting Grinchmas either way. Universal clearly puts a lot of effort into this area of the park each, and it pays off increasingly each year.
